THE HUMAN:

It Takes a Village

Wriiten by Young Eta

We all need one another, but not just anyone—there’s a need for likeness, for a tribe that shares our essence. Community is where we find those with whom we resonate, where our shared traits converge into a singular, supportive force. Vulnerability thrives here, allowing us to uplift one another. This principle was the driving force behind the “It Takes a Village” series, where each creator involved in the project reflected on what community means to them.

Shayo Davids - Artist

“Community, to me, isn’t just about family, though I’m deeply family-oriented. It’s about ‘your people,’ your ‘tribe.’ Community isn’t confined by geography; it’s a mindset, a connection built on synergy. It’s about the people you vibe with, and those who vibe with you. That’s what I believe a community should be.”

Prayz Gb - Photographer/Videographer

“To me, community is a supportive group of like-minded individuals who inspire, collaborate, and push each other to grow. From a creative perspective, being part of such a community provides motivation, fresh perspectives, and a sense of unity in pursuing artistic endeavors.

Tobi Efunnowo - Chief Editor, GetUnruly

“A community, to me, is a group of people united by shared beliefs, identities, or perspectives. The two key elements of any community are its people and the commonality they share.”

Discover your tribe, wherever they are—your circle, your village, near or far—and live with them in harmony.
