The wolf in sheep's clothing

Written by Caleb Ogbaji

Deceptive Authority

At the heart of the shepherd's lifestyle is a routine dictated by the needs of their flock and the rhythms of nature. Each day begins before dawn, as the shepherd rises to tend to their sheep. They lead their flock to grazing grounds, carefully selecting the most nutritious pastures while keeping a watchful eye for potential threats. Throughout the day, the shepherd guides, protects, and nurtures their sheep, ensuring their well-being and safety. A shepherd, traditionally revered as the guardian and caretaker of the flock, may morph into a predatory figure, preying upon the very beings entrusted to their care.

The Riddle of Abuse

Imagine a sheep growing weaker while the shepherd eats its food and shears its skin.

The shepherd, consumed by greed and malice, feasts upon the fruits of the flock's labor, while the sheep withers away, its fleece sheared for profit, its cries drowned out by the deafening silence of complicity

How does the sheep survive? when the shepherd, once its protector, becomes the very embodiment of threat?

Tyranny in Disguise

Just like a wolf wearing sheep's clothing, a tyrant pretends to be good while secretly harming the people they rule. They use lies and manipulation to scare people and keep them divided, making it harder to resist their control.

In this realm of oppression, the voiceless masses find themselves shackled by the chains of silence, their cries for justice hampered by the weight of tyranny. The sheep, now awakened to the realization of its own powerlessness, struggles to find solace in a world where the shepherd has forsaken its sacred duty.

The Voiceless

Now awoken to the power of the it's voice. the spirit of the flock endures with hope  that withstands the test of time and tyranny.

Through generations of forced silence, the memory of a collective bleat has been passed down. Now, that memory takes root, transforming into a resounding chorus that vibrates through the very fabric of their existence. It is a song of hope, a desperate plea for a life beyond the yoke of oppression. But where does this newfound voice direct its yearning? Who does the sheep bleat out to?

Hopefully, with a newfound ferocity, the bleat could morph into a roar, a challenge flung at the feet of the shepherds.
